Interesting! My great uncle was in the Hellenic Royal Army in 1940 when the war came to Greece. He fought in the Pindos Mountains in Albania, at the Aliakmon Line after the Germans attacked, and he soon joined a small resistance group in Athens. I too have written a lot of historical fiction about the Greek Resistance.
Thank you. Yes, my family was rather connected with the smaller resistance groups. Mostly all they did was pick off German soldiers by night, but they fought for God and Motherland, and I'm proud of it.
ah, no, I don't! it was such an old story... I also feel like I can't really work on a WWII-based story in the aftermath of all this hetalia nonsense. Which is probably silly, but... I would love to try to tell the story again one day. Thank you for reminding me it existed!
I like your drawing style and your confidence - you're not afraid of imperfection; and it works out well. At least, that's what I think when I see this (sorry if that sounded like I was telling your horoscope )
no, im flattered! thank you! ya gotta allow a little imperfection i think. yer absolutly right. ta turn the nut to hard, it can show, like ya become to focused on the small part and not the big picture. anyways ill real it in a little now. thank you!
That's good then - I'm glad you were not offended And you're absoloutly right about losing focus on the bigger picture (literally), from paying too much attention to the small stuff. I've done that with past artworks and it really doesn't turn out well; the whole artwork needs focus from the artist.
I'm still as much in awe in front of this as when I first saw it a few weeks ago. Of course like it has been said it's a really though angle, but what hits me the most is the feel. I can almost hear the snow crack and feel the inside of my nose freezing while breathing(maybe the fact that I just came back from outside help but still!). And the last thing that strikes me is the presence of the characters, especially the one in front. He's set on his goal and no one is going to stop him.
yeah. stock up in em man. just seriously go huntin. join a bunch and submit all ya can, specialyl look for how many people follow it and of corse what kinda audience it'd be for ya. comics, horror, humor, anything.
